The Circular Carbon Economy (CCE) is a sustainable framework for managing global carbon emissions, encompassed in the 4 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Remove.
Each part of the circular carbon economy—from carbon capture and conversion to material recycling and supply chain optimization—faces unique challenges that require targeted solutions.
Innovating within any of these areas can contribute significantly to the overall goal of reducing carbon emissions and creating a sustainable carbon economy.
Choose one of the 4 Rs and develop a proposal for a focused and cost-competitive solution that addresses a particular challenge of that area.
Whether it’s improving carbon capture efficiency, developing new materials for upcycling, or creating better tools for carbon footprint analysis, your solution should aim to advance the state of the art in your chosen domain.

As hydrogen grows to be a cornerstone for the new energy economy, there is a focus to identify pathways to realize its potential.
As it stands, the adoption of hydrogen as an energy source faces significant obstacles. Producing hydrogen is currently costly and energy-intensive. Storage methods often require high pressures or low temperatures, adding to costs and safety risks. Additionally, transporting hydrogen over long distances is challenging due to the need for specialized infrastructure, limiting its scalability as a sustainable energy carrier.
Design a proposal for an innovative solution that addresses challenges in hydrogen production, storage, or transportation. Your proposal could focus on making hydrogen production more affordable, developing safer and more efficient storage methods, or designing new transportation systems to facilitate its use.
Aim to enhance sustainability, reduce costs, and improve scalability in the hydrogen economy.
